Change a running bot
Open a running bot from My bots, the Dashboard or Positions.
More
It opens beside the chart with four tabs: General, Timeline, Orders and Settings. Nothing you change is sent until you press Apply.
Change it. In Orders or Settings, change what you need: the take profit, the stop loss (or move it to break-even, the entry price), the amount, or close part of the position at market. Pause and Resume are there too.
Check “Before you apply”. Every change shows its effect first: the new average price, the amount in use and what stays free, the new liquidation price, the P&L at the take profit and at the stop, and which orders will be cancelled and placed. If Hyperliquid would refuse it (not enough margin, an order too small, a stop beyond the liquidation price), it says why and nothing is sent.
Apply or Discard. Apply sends the changes; the timeline records each one. Discard drops them and leaves the bot as it was. If the bot changed meanwhile (an order filled), the preview is worked out again before anything is sent.
Coming after a live check: moving a grid's range or changing its number of lines, moving, adding or deleting single extra buys, and up to 10 take profits with trailing. They appear in the bot's tabs once they have passed a check with real orders; until then they are not shown.
What can go wrong
A change at market costs fees.
Closing part of a position pays Hyperliquid's taker fee and Rivemont's fee, plus any slippage.A bigger amount can move the liquidation price closer.
The preview shows the new one before you apply.A lower amount cannot go below what the bot already uses.
Close part of the position first.
