How Rivemont's trading fee is calculated on Hyperliquid
Two fees apply to a trade Rivemont sends to Hyperliquid: Hyperliquid's own trading fee, as on any Hyperliquid order, and Rivemont's fee, from 0.1% of each fill and lower with your 30-day volume. There is no subscription and no share of your profit.
Rivemont's fee by 30-day volume
| 30-day volume through Rivemont | Rivemont fee per fill |
|---|---|
| Under $500K | 0.100% |
| $500K and up | 0.085% |
| $2.5M and up | 0.070% |
| $10M and up | 0.055% |
| $50M and up | 0.040% |
- Per fill. Each filled part of an order pays the fee on its own value (size times price): a $1,000 fill at 0.1% pays $1.00. Opening and closing a position are two fills.
- 30-day volume is the value of every fill sent through Rivemont in the last 30 days: all your bots and orders together, rolling. Once it passes a tier, every new fill pays that tier's rate. It is recounted every few minutes.
- Only orders sent through Rivemont pay it. Orders you place yourself on Hyperliquid pay Rivemont nothing.
- Points tiers can lower it too; the lower of the two applies, never both together. Points shows the tiers and fee-free days.
Hyperliquid's own fee, separate
Hyperliquid charges its own fee on every fill, as it does for any trader: at its base tier 0.045% for a taker order (one that fills at once, like a market order) and 0.015% for a maker order (a limit order that rests on the book first). Hyperliquid lowers these with its own volume tiers and staking discounts, and its stock and commodity markets can carry different fees. Rivemont does not set or receive this part. Hyperliquid's fee page has its current schedule.
Worked examples
At the first tier (under $500K of 30-day volume), Hyperliquid's base tier:
- $1,000 market order: Hyperliquid 0.045% = $0.45, Rivemont 0.1% = $1.00. Total $1.45. Closing it later with another market order costs the same again.
- $1,000 limit order that rests and fills: Hyperliquid 0.015% = $0.15, Rivemont 0.1% = $1.00. Total $1.15.
- A grid line of $40 bought and sold as resting orders: ($40 × 0.015% + $40 × 0.1%) × 2 ≈ $0.09 per round. The grid's step has to be wider than that to earn anything, so the plans keep each line's profit at least three times its round-trip fees.
- Past $500K of 30-day volume: the same $1,000 fill pays Rivemont 0.085%, $0.85.
The cap you approve, and older approvals
On Hyperliquid, a builder (an app like Rivemont) can only charge a fee you approved with your wallet. When you connect, your second signature approves a cap of 0.1%, Hyperliquid's maximum for perpetuals. Hyperliquid refuses any order whose fee is above your cap, so Rivemont can never charge more than you signed.
Accounts that connected before the fee became 0.1% approved a 0.05% cap. Their orders carry at most 0.05% until they approve the new cap: the fee is lowered to fit the approval, so their bots keep running.
How it is collected
Hyperliquid adds Rivemont's fee to the fee of each fill and pays it to Rivemont's builder address. Nothing is billed separately and nothing is taken from your wallet outside your trades. Every backtest includes both fees.
