What was tested

  • Splits $2,000 into 10 grid orders, 0.8% apart while the US stock market is open, centred on the price.
  • Out of hours and on the weekend it opens no new grid positions, long or short; orders that close positions stay.
  • Market hours: 9:30 to 16:00 New York time on trading days. The external price stops from Friday 20:00 to Sunday 20:00 New York time.
  • Gap guard: after the weekend it waits 30 minutes before opening new positions; if the price opened more than 2% away from the close, it starts the grid again around the new price.
  • When the price leaves the range, it closes the grid and lays it again around the new price.
  • It also closes everything and stops once it has lost 12% of the investment.
  • It starts with no position: below the price it buys, above the price it sells short.
  • Uses at most $1,000 of your Hyperliquid balance (2x leverage).

Market hours and volatility

MSTR follows a US stock market price. Hyperliquid quotes it around the clock, but most of its moves come while New York is open (9:30 to 16:00 New York time, Monday to Friday), and it can jump when trading opens after a night, a weekend or a holiday.

Over these 30 days MSTR moved about 78% a year (annualised from daily closes) and traded between $123.53 and $172.96.

How this test was run
  • Funding payments are included.
  • The bot reacts once per candle in this test, so real results can differ a little.
  • Liquidation is included: the position closes at its estimated liquidation price.
  • The test follows the market's hours (New York time, with the holiday table): tighter steps while the market is open, the out-of-hours rule otherwise.
  • Fees: 0.09% taker and 0.03% maker (Hyperliquid) plus the 0.05% Rivemont fee on every fill.

Backtests replay the bot's own code on Hyperliquid's past prices, with fees and funding. Past results do not predict future results, and live fills can differ. Updated daily. Last run 2026-10-08 18:09 UTC.
