Run a Hyperliquid bot from TradingView alerts (webhook, step by step)

Rivemont's Signal bot turns your TradingView alerts into orders in your own Hyperliquid account, on crypto perps and on HIP-3 stocks, gold and silver. You set the limits; each alert sets the position in the market it names.

Connect TradingView to Hyperliquid in 5 steps

  1. Connect your walletSign in with your wallet: there is no account and no email. Approve Rivemont's API wallet, which can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw, and the fee cap. Your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account.
  2. Create your webhookOpen the Signal bot and press Start Signals. Set the largest order, the max total leverage and the max signal age, then press Create webhook and copy the link right away: it is shown only once.
  3. Create the alert in TradingViewOn your TradingView chart, create an alert. Under Notifications, tick Webhook URL and paste your link. TradingView offers webhook alerts on its paid plans and asks you to turn on two-factor authentication first.
  4. Paste the alert messageIn the alert's Message box, paste the message below. The Signal bot's page has an alert message builder that writes it for you.
  5. Send a small testFire a first alert with a small usd. The Signal bot's page lists every alert and what happened to it; Failed signals lists the refused ones with the reason.

Your webhook URL

https://rivemont.xyz/api/signal/YOUR-PRIVATE-TOKEN

Made when you create the webhook, and shown once. Paste it as the alert's webhook URL. Keep it secret: anyone with it can send orders within your limits; a new link stops the old one.

The webhook message

{"coin": "{{ticker}}", "action": "long", "usd": 200, "timestamp": "{{timenow}}"}

It trades only the difference: sent twice, nothing more is traded; an opposite position is closed and reversed in one order.

coinRequired (or ticker). BTC, BTCUSDT, BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P and TradingView's {{ticker}} all mean BTC; kPEPE, 1000PEPE and PEPE mean kPEPE. Stocks and commodities (Hyperliquid's HIP-3 markets) as xyz:TSLA, or TSLA when only one market group Rivemont trades lists it.
actionRequired. long, short or close; buy, sell, exit and flat work too.
usdThe position's size in US dollars (its value, not margin or coins), never above your largest order. Leave it out to use your largest order.
timestampOptional (or time): when the alert fired, as Unix seconds or milliseconds or an ISO time like 2026-10-03T12:00:00Z (TradingView's {{timenow}}). Without it the age is not checked.

Examples

Open a $200 long
{"coin": "BTC", "action": "long", "usd": 200, "timestamp": "{{timenow}}"}

Your BTC position becomes a $200 long. Sent twice, nothing more is bought.

Close the position
{"coin": "BTC", "action": "close", "timestamp": "{{timenow}}"}

Closes the whole BTC position, long or short. No usd needed.

Reverse to a short
{"coin": "BTC", "action": "short", "usd": 200, "timestamp": "{{timenow}}"}

Holding a $200 long, this sells $400 in one order: the long closes and a $200 short opens.

One alert for a TradingView strategy
{"coin": "{{ticker}}", "action": "{{strategy.market_position}}", "usd": 200, "timestamp": "{{timenow}}"}

TradingView fills in long, short or flat (flat closes) on every order the strategy fills.

Webhook settings

Largest order
From $10
Max total leverage
0.1–50×
Max signal age
10 s to 86,400 s, or 0 for no check

Every alert is capped at your largest order, and all your Hyperliquid positions together stay within your max total leverage.

Safety notes

  • Add the alert's time, so a late alert is refused ({{timenow}})
  • A webhook alert has no take profit or stop loss: it sets the position only. Exit with a close alert from your strategy, or use a Telegram signal, which reads targets and a stop.
  • The Signal bot has no backtest: it places what your alerts say, so test your strategy in TradingView and start with a small size.

What is refused

  • A message that is not JSON, or larger than 4 KB: only answered with the error.
  • No coin, an action other than these, a usd that is not a positive number, or a timestamp that cannot be read.
  • A coin Hyperliquid does not list, a stock or commodity name more than one market group lists (send it with its group, like xyz:SNDK), or a market that takes a token other than USDC as margin. A name is never swapped for another coin.
  • An alert older than your max signal age by its own timestamp, or still not traded 5 minutes after it arrived.
  • A coin that one of your bots, a Funding Arbitrage pair or a Telegram trade holds on Hyperliquid.
  • More than 30 signals in one hour.
  • An order past your max total leverage is cut to fit; with no room left it is refused.

Every refusal is listed under Failed signals with its reason, and the sender gets the reason too.

Set up your first bot

Create your webhook, paste it into a TradingView alert and send a small test. From 0.05% per fill, lower with your 30-day volume; no subscription.
