Rebalancing bot

A Rebalancing bot holds a basket of 2 to 10 coins at the weights you set.

More

When one drifts from its weight, or on a schedule, it sells some of what went up and buys what went down, back to the weights.

When to use it

When you want a fixed mix of coins (a small index) and like taking profit from the ones that rise.

Settings

Every bot trades in your own Hyperliquid account. In the setup you pick the market, the amount and the leverage; Safe, Balanced and Aggressive fill in the rest from the coin's own volatility, and Customize settings opens every setting below. Rivemont's fee is from 0.1% per fill, lower with your 30-day volume, plus Hyperliquid's own trading fee.

Coins
2 to 10 coins with their weights in %, adding up to 100%. Long or short basket.
Rebalance
On drift (when a coin moves this many percentage points from its weight) or On time (every N hours, 1 to 720).
Drift
In percentage points: at 5 pp a 20% coin is traded back at 15% or 25%. Smaller: more trades and fees; larger: fewer.
Orders
Market (fills at once) or Maker (waits at the best price, pays the lower fee, retried at the next check).
TP / SL
Optional: closes every coin once the basket has made, or lost, this share of the amount.
Amount and Leverage
The basket's amount and its leverage (at most the lowest maximum of its coins).

Example

$1,000 in BTC 50%, ETH 30%, SOL 20%, drift 5 pp. SOL doubles while the others stay: it is now about 33% of the basket, so the bot sells SOL and buys BTC and ETH until each is back at its weight.

What can go wrong

  • It does not stop a crash. When every coin falls together, rebalancing keeps the loss.
  • A coin that keeps rising is sold early, again and again.
